Last Shift
My short film project where we had to make a horror film. I co-wrote the script with my director as it was my script originally. It was a tiring but rewarding shooting experience (i was the gaffer on set). this experience taught me the necessity of proper lighting and exposure. because we were going for low-key lighting, i often underestimated how dark the shots actually were, making a lot of visual data lost to black. as the footage is not in log, it made my attempts at fixing oversaturated colors and undesirable lighting much more difficult. thus this also taught me the importance of setting the right colour temperature in camera.
